Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What kind of artists do you work with?
We work directly with Asian artists living and working in their native countries.
Q: What is Google Checkout?
Google Checkout is an online payment system that we use to securely process purchases made from our store. You will be asked to create a Google Account during the checkout process if you don’t already have one. Google also offers one of the best fraud protection policies for buyers in the industry.
Q: How are your limited edition prints made?
All of our prints are created using state of the art equipment and materials. This includes acid free inks and archival papers. We currently use a number of world-class screen printers in the United States and ship the finished prints to Asia to be signed and/or hand-finished by the artist.
Q: What is a “hand-finished” print?
A hand-finished print is a limited edition print that has additional elements and touch ups by the artist. This makes the print more like an original piece of artwork.
Q: Can I commission one of your artists for a piece of artwork?
Yes. Please submit all commission requests via our Contact Form.
Q: Can I refund my purchase?
All orders are final. However, in the event your artwork has been damaged in transit, we will work with you on a one-on-one basis to make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase. This may include giving you a replacement piece, or a refund.
Q: How is the artwork packaged and shipped?
All artwork is carefully packaged and shipped using world-class carriers. We will email you a tracking number once your package ships. Some Asian countries have over-zealous customs departments who feel the need to inspect everything that leaves the country. This means that there is a chance that your package may get opened while in transit. We have had no issues with damaged artwork shipped in this manner.
Q: How do you guarantee authenticity?
All artwork sold on the Red Star Press site is guaranteed to be authentic as we source all of our artwork directly from our artists. Our limited edition prints are all signed by the artist and marked with the Red Star Press seal.
Q: How do you package and ship the larger canvas paintings?
Most of our canvas paintings are carefully rolled, packaged and shipped in a tube. This is by far the safest and best way to ship an original painting. Any custom framer can stretch the canvas to a wood frame at a very reasonable cost. Please contact us at sales@redstarpress.com if you would like to make other shipping arrangements.
Q: My print/painting was damaged in transit, how do I get a replacement?
Please email us at sales@redstarpress.com for all replacement related issues.
Q: I purchased a print/painting from your site a few weeks ago but haven’t received it yet.
Please allow up to 20 business days for all orders as the artwork may be shipping from the country of origin. Feel free to contact us at sales@redstarpress.com if you have any questions about your order.
